Tandoori Chicken Mac and Cheese

A fusion of Indian and American cuisine, this dish combines the spicy flavors of tandoori chicken with creamy mac and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 cups, shredded
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • All - purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Macaroni - 2 cups
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with tandoori masala and yogurt for at least 2 hours, then grill until fully cooked.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux, then gradually whisk in the milk. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  4. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni and grilled chicken to the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.
  6. Serve the tandoori chicken mac and cheese hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
