Swiss Chard and Goat Cheese Tart

This delicious tart features a flaky crust filled with sautéed Swiss chard and creamy goat cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 3
  • Goat cheese - 4 ounces, crumbled
  • Swiss chard - 1 bunch, stems removed and leaves chopped
  • Pie crust - 1 (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and press it into a tart pan. Trim any excess dough.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add the Swiss chard leaves to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread the sautéed Swiss chard evenly over the pie crust.
  7. Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese over the Swiss chard.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the filling, making sure it is evenly distributed.
  9. Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.
  10. Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
