Swiss Chard and Bacon Quiche

This delicious Swiss chard and bacon quiche is a perfect combination of savory flavors and creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Eggs - 4
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Bacon - 6 slices, cooked and crumbled
  • Swiss chard - 1 bunch, stems removed and leaves chopped
  • Pie crust - 1, store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and crumble into small pieces.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
  5. Add the Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread the cooked Swiss chard mixture evenly over the pie crust.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the Swiss chard.
  9. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
  11. Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
