This chuck tender roast is slow cooked to perfection with a flavorful blend of herbs and spices.

Ingredients

  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Beef broth - 1 cup
  • Dried rosemary - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Chuck tender roast - 3 pounds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the chuck tender roast.
  3. Place the roast in a slow cooker and pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Remove the roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water.
  7. Pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  8. Whisk in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  9. Serve the sliced roast with the gravy.
