Slow Cooker Brisket

This tender and flavorful brisket is slow cooked to perfection with a savory blend of spices and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Beef broth - 2 cups
  • Celery - 2 stalks, sliced
  • Carrots - 2 large, sliced
  • Yellow onion - 1 large, sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons
  • Beef brisket - 4 pounds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the brisket on both sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Place the sliced onion, carrots, and celery in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  6. Place the seared brisket on top of the vegetables.
  7. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the brisket.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the brisket is tender and falls apart easily.
  9. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve the sliced brisket with the vegetables and cooking liquid.
