Shrimp Po' Boy Burger

A delicious twist on the classic Po' Boy sandwich, this recipe features a juicy shrimp patty on a soft bun with traditional toppings.

Ingredients

  • Hamburger buns - 4
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Hot sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Cajun seasoning - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg - 1
  • Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, green onions, and Cajun seasoning. Pulse until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and hot sauce.
  5. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and a shrimp patty.
  6. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve.
