Pico de Gallo

Pico de Gallo is a fresh and flavorful Mexican salsa made with tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and lime juice.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Jalapeno - 1, seeded and finely chopped
  • Red onion - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Tomatoes - 4 medium, diced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro.
  2. Add the lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve as a topping for tacos, nachos, or as a dip with tortilla chips.
