Ingredients

  • Tortilla chips - For serving
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Jalapeno - 1, seeded and finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Tomatoes - 4 medium, diced
  • Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the pico de gallo.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and let them cool slightly. Once cooled, chop the shrimp into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Add the chopped shrimp to the pico de gallo and mix gently to combine.
  5. Serve the pico de gallo con camarones with tortilla chips for dipping.
