Pecan Pesto

This delicious pecan pesto is a twist on the classic basil pesto, adding a rich and nutty flavor to your dishes.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Fresh basil leaves - 2 cups
  • Pecans - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the pecans until finely chopped.
  2. Add the basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the food processor.
  3. Pulse until well combined and the mixture forms a paste.
  4. While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the pesto reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  6. Transfer the pecan pesto to a jar or container and store in the refrigerator.
  7. Serve as a spread on bread, toss with pasta, or use as a sauce for grilled meats or vegetables.
