Mushroom and Sausage Pizza

This delicious pizza is topped with savory mushrooms, flavorful sausage, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Sausage - 1/2 pound, cooked and crumbled
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 cups, shredded
  • Pizza sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Pizza dough - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage and sliced mushrooms on top of the cheese.
  7. In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  8. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  9. Drizzle the garlic-infused olive oil over the pizza toppings.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  14. Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
  15. Slice and enjoy!
