Mushroom and Pepperoni Pizza

This delicious pizza is topped with sautéed mushrooms, pepperoni, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Pepperoni - 1/2 cup, sliced
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 cups, shredded
  • Pizza sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Pizza dough - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and sauté until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Spread the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the pizza sauce.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the mushrooms.
  10. Top with the sliced pepperoni.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil.
  13. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
