Mushroom and Tomato Pizza

This delicious pizza is topped with sautéed mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Pizza dough - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the pizza dough.
  6. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on top of the mushrooms.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the tomatoes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil.
  11. Slice and serve hot.
