Mushroom and Beef Stir Fry

This delicious mushroom and beef stir-fry is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add the beef slices and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
