Garlic Beef Stir Fry

This garlic beef stir fry is a quick and flavorful dish made with tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a savory garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 4, sliced
  • Carrots - 2, julienned
  • Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 2 cups
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  4. Add the beef slices and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
