Musclos a La Marinera

Musclos a la Marinera is a traditional Spanish dish, featuring mussels cooked in a flavorful tomato and wine sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • White wine - 1 cup
  • Tomatoes - 2, peeled and chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Mussels - 2 pounds, cleaned and debearded

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes, wine, parsley, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the mussels to the pot. Cover and cook until the mussels have opened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Discard any mussels that have not opened.
  6. Serve the mussels with the sauce and a sprinkle of extra parsley.
