Mexican Guacamole

This traditional Mexican guacamole is made with ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and spices.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Jalapeno - 1, seeded and finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1, diced
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Ripe avocados - 2

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Add the lime juice and mash the avocados with a fork until desired consistency.
  3. Stir in the diced tomato, red onion, cilantro, garlic, jalapeno, salt, cumin, and black pepper.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or quesadillas.
