Meatballs

Meatballs

These classic Italian meatballs are made with a blend of ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and herbs. They are perfect for pasta dishes or as a standalone appetizer.

Ingredients

  • Marinara sauce - 2 cups
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg - 1
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Ground beef - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Serve the meatballs with pasta or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
