Mac and Cheese Balls

These crispy and cheesy mac and cheese balls are a delicious appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Vegetable oil - For frying
  • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • All - purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Macaroni - 2 cups, cooked

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the ingredients are well combined.
  2. Take small portions of the mac and cheese mixture and shape them into balls.
  3. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Roll each mac and cheese ball in the breadcrumbs until coated.
  4. In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the mac and cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  5. Remove the mac and cheese balls from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
