Kebab Barg

Kebab Barg is a delicious Persian dish made with marinated and grilled tenderloin beef.

Ingredients

  • Skewers - 4, soaked in water
  • Bell peppers - 2, sliced
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, sliced
  • Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Beef tenderloin - 1.5 pounds, cut into thin strips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and saffron water. Mix well.
  2. Add the beef strips to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked skewers, alternating with tomato and bell pepper slices.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Serve the Kebab Barg hot with rice, salad, and bread.
