Kabab Bakhtiari is a delicious Persian dish made with grilled marinated chicken and beef.
Ingredients
Skewers - 8
Onion - 1, sliced
Bell peppers - 2, sliced
Tomatoes - 2, sliced
Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of hot water
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Onion - 1, finely chopped
Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
Beef tenderloin - 500g
Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, paprika, turmeric, and saffron water.
Cut the chicken breast and beef tenderloin into bite-sized pieces.
Add the chicken and beef to the marinade and mix well to coat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Thread the marinated chicken, beef, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion slices onto skewers.
Grill the skewers for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken and beef are cooked through and slightly charred.
Serve the Kabab Bakhtiari hot with rice or bread, and enjoy!
