Jjolmyeon

Jjolmyeon is a popular Korean dish made with chewy noodles, spicy sauce, and various toppings.

Ingredients

  • Salt - To taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochujang (korean red pepper paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 4, chopped
  • Hard - boiled eggs - 4, sliced
  • Bean sprouts - 1 cup
  • Carrot - 1, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1, julienned
  • Jjolmyeon noodles - 300 grams

Instructions

  1. Cook the jjolmyeon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, gochujang, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and salt to make the sauce.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts, hard-boiled eggs, and green onions.
  4. Pour the sauce over the noodle mixture and toss until well coated.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!
