Hwe is a refreshing and vibrant Korean dish made with fresh raw fish, vegetables, and a tangy sauce.

Ingredients

  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves, torn
  • Radish - 1, julienned
  • Carrot - 1, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1, julienned
  • Fresh raw fish fillets - 200g

Instructions

  1. Slice the fresh raw fish fillets into thin strips.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, and red pepper flakes to make the dressing.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced fish, cucumber, carrot, radish, lettuce, and green onion.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing flavors of Hwe!
