Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry

This honey garlic shrimp stir fry is a quick and flavorful dish made with succulent shrimp, fresh vegetables, and a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Carrots - 2, julienned
  • Bell peppers - 2, sliced
  • Broccoli - 2 cups, florets
  • Shrimp - 1 lb, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet and pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables.
  6. Stir fry for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and vegetables.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
