Halibut and Lemon Butter Sauce

This delicious halibut dish is served with a tangy lemon butter sauce that enhances the flavors of the fish.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Butter - 4 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Halibut fillets - 2 fillets

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Season the halibut fillets with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  6. Place the halibut fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the fillets, making sure they are evenly coated.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  9. While the halibut is baking, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a small skillet over low heat.
  10. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  11. Remove the halibut from the oven and drizzle the melted butter and parsley mixture over the fillets.
  12. Serve the halibut with lemon butter sauce immediately.
