Ingredients

  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Red wine vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh oregano - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Flat iron steak - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, chopped oregano, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes to make the chimichurri sauce. Set aside.
  3. Rub the flat iron steak with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired level of doneness.
