Zeytoon Parvardeh

Zeytoon Parvardeh is a traditional Persian dish made with marinated olives, walnuts, pomegranate molasses, and herbs.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Pomegranate molasses - 2 tablespoons
  • Walnuts - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Green olives - 1 cup, pitted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olives, walnuts, pomegranate molasses, garlic, mint, parsley, cilantro, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Serve the Zeytoon Parvardeh as an appetizer or as a side dish with bread or crackers.
