Chimichurri Sauce

Chimichurri sauce is a vibrant and flavorful sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, vinegar, and olive oil. It is commonly used as a marinade or condiment for grilled meats.

Ingredients

  • Extra virgin olive oil - 1/2 cup
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Red wine vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 cup, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the sauce is well combined and emulsified.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  4. Transfer the chimichurri sauce to a jar or container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve as a marinade for grilled meats or as a condiment for roasted vegetables.
