Spicy Chimichurri

This spicy chimichurri sauce is a flavorful and versatile condiment that pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 1/2 cup
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Red wine vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 cup, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the parsley, cilantro, garlic, red chili flakes, red wine vinegar, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pulse until the ingredients are well combined and the sauce has a slightly chunky texture.
  3. With the processor or blender running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the sauce is emulsified and smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  5. Transfer the chimichurri sauce to a jar or container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Serve as a condiment or dipping sauce with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or your favorite dishes.
