Cheonggukjang

Cheonggukjang is a traditional Korean fermented soybean paste soup known for its rich and savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • Salt - To taste
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Tofu - 1/2 cup, cubed
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Cheonggukjang paste - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add the cheonggukjang paste, garlic, onion, zucchini, tofu, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy!
