This Campagnola Pizza is a rustic Italian pizza topped with fresh vegetables, herbs, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes - 1 cup, halved
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Zucchini - 1, thinly sliced
  • Yellow bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Pizza dough - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Arrange the sliced bell peppers, zucchini, red onion, and cherry tomatoes on top of the cheese.
  7. Drizzle the olive oil over the vegetables.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil.
  11. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
