Broccoli and Bell Pepper Stir Fry

This healthy and flavorful stir fry is made with fresh broccoli, colorful bell peppers, and a delicious sauce.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Bell peppers - 2 medium, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add broccoli florets and sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir fry for 5-7 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir well to coat.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the broccoli and bell pepper stir fry hot as a main course or as a side dish.
