Ingredients

  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Orange juice - 1/4 cup
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Orange - 1, segmented
  • Broccoli - 2 cups, florets

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and slightly tender.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the broccoli and stir well to coat.
  6. Add orange segments to the skillet and gently toss to combine.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the broccoli and oranges.
  8. Remove from heat and serve the orange and broccoli stir fry hot.
  9. Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions for added flavor and presentation.
