Ingredients

  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets
  • Bell peppers - 2 large, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Add the bell peppers and broccoli to the skillet and stir fry for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables and stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the bell pepper and broccoli stir fry hot as a main course or as a side dish.
