Blue Cheese Burger

A juicy burger topped with tangy blue cheese and caramelized onions.

Ingredients

  • Tomato - 1 large, sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Burger buns - 4
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onions - 1 large, thinly sliced
  • Blue cheese - 4 ounces, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Ground beef - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  2. While the onions are cooking, season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties.
  3. Cook the patties on a grill or in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until done to your liking.
  4. Top each patty with crumbled blue cheese and cook for an additional minute, until the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve the burgers on the buns with the caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato.
