Let's Get Started

  1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, and Marsala wine.
  2. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
  3. Continue whisking the mixture vigorously for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes thick and creamy.
  4. Remove the bowl from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Brew a cup of espresso.
  6. Pour the zabaglione sauce into two coffee cups.
  7. Pour the hot espresso over the zabaglione sauce, dividing it evenly between the cups.
  8. Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
