Urgun Chagaan Guril
Urgun Chagaan Guril is a traditional Mongolian dish made with beef, vegetables, and noodles.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Egg noodles - 200 grams, cooked according to package instructions
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Cabbage - 1/2 small head, shredded
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 2 medium, julienned
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Beef - 500 grams, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a large wok or skillet, heat some oil over high heat.
- Add the beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add more oil if needed and sauté the onion, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage, garlic, and ginger until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the wok and add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the wok and toss everything together until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
