Ugeoji Guk
Ugeoji Guk is a traditional Korean soup made with dried pollack and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Carrot - 1, sliced
- Zucchini - 1, sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Minced garlic - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 6 cups
- Dried pollack - 200g
Let's Get Started
- Soak the dried pollack in cold water for 10 minutes to rehydrate.
- In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the soaked pollack, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil to the pot.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, or until the pollack is tender.
- Add the chopped green onions, zucchini, and carrot to the pot.
- Simmer for another 10 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
