Tuna Pasta
This delicious tuna pasta is made with canned tuna, pasta, and a flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Crushed tomatoes - 1 can (14 ounces)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Canned tuna - 2 cans, drained
- Pasta - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the drained tuna to the sauce and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
