  1. Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture.
  2. Slice the tofu into 1/2-inch thick cutlets.
  3. Season the tofu with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each tofu cutlet in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the tofu cutlets until they are golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Drain the tofu cutlets on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. Serve the tofu katsu with your favorite dipping sauce.
