Tofu and Broccoli Stir Fry
This healthy and flavorful tofu and broccoli stir fry is a quick and easy vegetarian dish.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable broth - 1/4 cup
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Broccoli - 2 cups, florets
- Tofu - 1 block, firm or extra firm, cubed
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, red pepper flakes, vegetable broth, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes, until slightly tender.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli in the skillet and stir well to coat.
- Add the cooked tofu back to the skillet and stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and broccoli.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the tofu and broccoli stir fry hot over steamed rice or noodles.
