Tilapia Tacos with Cabbage Slaw
These tilapia tacos are easy to make and packed with fresh flavors. The cabbage slaw adds a nice crunch and the tilapia is seasoned perfectly.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cabbage - 2 cups, shredded
- Corn tortillas - 8
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Taco seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Tilapia fillets - 4
Let's Get Started
- Season the tilapia fillets with the taco seasoning.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tilapia and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
- While the fish is cooking, make the cabbage slaw. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat, until they are soft and pliable.
- To assemble the tacos, place a scoop of cabbage slaw on each tortilla. Top with a piece of cooked tilapia.
- Serve the tacos with extra lime wedges and cilantro on the side.
