Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, mix the fish paste, sweet potato starch, green onion, white pepper powder, salt, sugar, and water together until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties or balls.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 180°C (350°F).
  4. Carefully drop the patties or balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the tianbula with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
