Let's Get Started

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few more minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
  4. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each tortilla, fold in half, and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Fry the tacos in the hot oil until crispy and golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and remove the toothpicks.
  7. Top with lettuce, tomato, and cheese before serving.
