Spiced Venison Jerky

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, liquid smoke, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Add the venison slices to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C). Place a wire rack on a large baking sheet.
  4. Remove the venison from the marinade and arrange the slices on the wire rack. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 4 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm but still chewy. Let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
