Snow Peas and Carrot Stir Fry
A quick and healthy stir fry recipe featuring fresh snow peas and carrots.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrots - 2 large, julienned
- Snow peas - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add julienned carrots and snow peas to the skillet, and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the skillet, and toss to coat evenly.
- Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and serve the snow peas and carrot stir fry as a side dish or over steamed rice.
