Smoked Chicken

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
  2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
  4. Rub the dry rub all over the chicken, including under the skin and inside the cavity.
  5. Place the soaked wood chips in the smoker's wood chip box or directly on the coals.
  6. Place the chicken on the smoker rack, breast side up.
  7. Close the smoker and let the chicken smoke for approximately 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove the chicken from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  9. Serve the smoked chicken hot and enjoy!
