Shrimp with Lobster Sauce
This delicious shrimp dish is served in a rich and flavorful lobster sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Scallions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water
- Chicken broth - 1 cup
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Lobster meat - 1/2 cup, cooked and chopped
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped lobster meat and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chicken broth to the skillet.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the dissolved cornstarch and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped scallions.
- Serve the shrimp with lobster sauce over steamed rice or noodles.
