Salame Di Cioccolato
Salame di Cioccolato is a delicious Italian dessert made from cocoa, broken biscuits, butter, eggs and a bit of port wine or rum.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Icing sugar - For dusting
- Maria biscuits - 200g, broken into pieces
- Port wine or rum - 50ml
- Egg - 1
- Butter - 100g
- Sugar - 100g
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - 100g
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, mix the cocoa and sugar together.
- Melt the butter and add it to the cocoa and sugar mixture.
- Beat the egg and add it to the mixture along with the port wine or rum.
- Add the broken biscuits and mix well until all the biscuits are coated with the chocolate mixture.
- Shape the mixture into a salami shape and wrap it tightly in cling film.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until it is firm.
- Before serving, unwrap the chocolate salami and dust it with icing sugar.
