- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Water spinach (rau muống) - 1 bunch
Let's Get Started
- Wash the water spinach thoroughly and cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant and golden brown.
- Add the water spinach to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
- In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the water spinach and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish with steamed rice or as part of a larger meal.
