Pyttipanna
Pyttipanna is a traditional Swedish dish made with diced potatoes, onions, and meat.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Eggs - 4
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Frozen peas - 1 cup
- Beef or pork sausage - 4 links, sliced
- Bacon - 4 slices, chopped
- Onion - 1 large, diced
- Potatoes - 4 medium, diced
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the diced potatoes. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and sliced sausage to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent and the sausage is browned.
- Stir in the frozen peas and cooked bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a separate skillet, fry the eggs to your desired doneness.
- Serve the pyttipanna hot, topped with a fried egg on each portion.
